Our role
This notice describes how PropArch handles personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"). For the personal data processed through the platform, PropArch generally acts as a data processor on behalf of the developer or channel-partner firm (the data fiduciary), and as a data fiduciary for the data we collect directly (such as demo enquiries). [Exact role allocation to be confirmed by counsel.]
Lawful purposes and consent
We process personal data for the specified, lawful purposes for which it was provided, on the basis of consent or another lawful ground under the DPDP Act. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. [Purpose list and consent-notice text to be finalised.]
Categories of personal data
This may include buyer and lead contact details, developer and channel-partner user details, and transaction and compliance records. PropArch masks PII by default and enforces role-based access.[Full category list to be confirmed.]
Rights of the data principal
Subject to the DPDP Act, a data principal may:
- request access to a summary of their personal data and how it is processed;
- request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of their personal data;
- nominate another individual to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- raise a grievance and seek redressal.
[Mechanism and timelines for exercising rights to be specified.]
Data retention and erasure
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the stated purpose or as required by law, and is then erased. [Retention and deletion schedule to be provided.]
